National Hungarian Theatre of Cluj, Romania
We were given the opportunity to travel to Romania and set our version of The Physicists on one of their National Companies. Working in Hungarian was a challenge, but we were fortunate to have actors and assistants who were fluent in English and helped us navigate the process.

Cherry Smoke is the story of four people caught in a rust belt town long after the industry has left. A pair of brothers and the women they love attempt to scratch a life out in a town with no hope, and no prospects. Flashing forward and backward fluidly in time through the narrative we follow Fish, an amateur boxer as he tries taking a shot at the big time in a desperate attempt to leave his past behind, and bring the people he loves with him.
